The small white filly stood oblivious in the shadows of the forest. Her crest curved downward in a sleepy position, or more Arabic style. Auds pricked up to every hearing of a bird or ground squirrel dashing between bushes and trees. Her banner twitched at the unwelcome pests, who buzzed so aimlessly. Her canvas leaned with the slightest weight against a moss covered tree. The cool breeze whispered through and picked up some strands of mane, moving her orbs to widen, taking in the forest for the first time since the sun rose. Her crest shoot and moved the forelock to her right aud, giving her orbs more vision to take in the fantasy land. Looking up her orbs saw nothing but the tops of the bunched trees. Below she saw the moist earth and tiny little critters making their rounds in the forest, for food, life, and love. Some of which she probably would never find. Her life had been hit hard and cursed her sent her out of a beloved herd. Her cage inhaled and exhaled, before her flints took a first step into the direction of the crystal lake. Her pillars wobbled as she took careful steps over a fallen tree now inhabited by a black critter with a white stripe along it's back to tail. A skunk. She tossed her head and trotted in a hurry to not get sprayed, in the fast moment she tripped slightly in a small hole, but fixed her pillars faster. The ungraceful trot smoothed and she made her way closer to the lake, where the small light that came through the net of leaves, danced on the waters surface. She nickered happily to herself and dipped her nape down to extend her crest and sip the cooling liquid. Her rims skimmed the surface for a moment before her trap opened and she drank the cool water. After what seemed like a while she pulled her head up and looked around, seeing a small opening she trotted to it. This time more silent and graceful. She stopped to a walk after seeing it was further away then she thought. Silently she kept walking and nickered out almost a whisper as if thinking to be heard. She huffed and snorted a sneeze, before finally bursting out of the forest. It thinned still with tree line, but now she could lounge in the lush green emerald blades of grass. This time a small squeal escaped her cage as she loped to a fine spot of grass, more in the sun showing her white coat even more. It was mud covered and ratty, all she needed was a good swim to fix it.
